Clinical

Bennington  School's clinical program is based on a child-centered, family-focused, strength-based model. Treatment plans are developed through a team approach in which treatment plans are individually designed and developed through a "SNAP" Model (Strengths, Needs, Abilities, and Preferences). "SNAP" is an internationally recognized, and highly supported, model of child-centered, strength based, and family-focused practice.

Bennington School's approach to treatment planning is a comprehensive and continuously fluid collaborative model which begins on the day of admission and continues following discharge. We believe that family and student input is critical to achieving, and sustaining, progress towards a student's identified goals and objectives. Building and maintaining strong positive relationships is at the core of our mileau.

Our clinical team, comprised of Masters level Social Workers, Master and Doctoral level Psychologists, Nurses, Consulting Psychiatrist, Consulting Physician, Masters and Certified level regular and Special Education staff, as well as residential program staff members,  work collaboratively as a community with students, family members, past and potential future providers, agency personnel, and home district educational agencies,  through a multi-faceted targeted approach, to develop Individualized Services Plan (ISP) that are both goal oriented and permenency focused.
